Visitors will enjoy stalls and activities including a kids’ tombola, adults’ tombola, a silent auction and raffle, kids mocktails, a barbecue, Beat the Goalie and a lucky dip.

Other attractions on offer include a bouncy castle, a netball challenge, Tin Can Alley, guess the name of the giant teddy, Welly Wanging, Mrs Wishy Washy, a nerf gun challenge, golf, and a cake stall.

Jeff Lloyd from Vinyl Frontier at Norden Farm will also be in attendance to help at the fair.

Fairgoers will enjoy live performances from the Furze Platt Junior School choir, as well as street dance performances by youngsters from both the infant and junior schools, organised by Dance Inspired which is run by Amy Opalko.

The fair will conclude with a traditional tug of war followed by a big water fight.

The summer fair is the largest fundraising event of the year, following other events, including the Christmas Fair, discos, and quiz nights.

Paul Thompson, vice-chair of Furze Platt Schools Association, said: "The fair is a wonderful community event whereby school children and siblings, parents & carers and teaching staff all come together to have lots of fun whilst raising money for both schools."
