Supermarket chain ASDA has confirmed it will be opening roadside convenience stores at two petrol stations in Maidenhead.
Work is currently ongoing to create two ASDA On the Move stores at the Euro Garages petrol stations in Shoppenhangers Road and Windsor Road.
A spokesman for the retailer said the shops are expected to open early in 2023.
The ASDA On the Move sites aim to offer the supermarket’s products in neighbourhood and roadside locations across the UK.
Steve Shirley, vice president of wholesale and convenience at ASDA, said: “The popularity of these stores shows us that customers want to be able to pick up essentials quickly and conveniently or grab a spontaneous treat whilst they’re refuelling, and we look forward to continuing to provide that service to our customers in the future.’’
