Noisy Crossrail works will be taking place from this weekend and over Christmas.
From Saturday until Thursday, November 24, neighbours can expect noise from the work site as track is removed.
From Saturday, December 24, until Tuesday, January 3, the track will continue to be removed and new components will be installed in the new alignment.
Switches and crossings, which allow the trains to change between tracks, will also be installed.
In a letter sent out to residents, Nicholas Holloway, community relations executive, said: “We will do our best to keep disruption to a minimum and we will use noise barriers around our work sites.
“Sometimes noise from our construction areas is unavoidable and I apologise for this in advance.”
An information event will be held at Maidenhead Station on Monday, December 12, where residents can ask questions about the work being done for Crossrail. Email CRCrossrail@networkrail.co.uk or call 03457 114141 if you have any queries.
