A generous barber will be using his days off to give free haircuts to the homeless.
Matthew Martin opened his business Avanti Barbering in the High Street on Tuesday, but wants to be able to give haircuts to those less fortunate as well as those who can afford to pay.
The 22-year-old has wireless trimmers that he takes around the town.
He said: "I think the homeless haircuts idea is just a good thing in general. You're doing a good deed for a person.
"I'm a relatively new barber so for me I'm also gaining more experience. As my grandmother says, practice makes perfect."
Matthew, who lives in Ray Park Avenue, will be walking around the town on his days off with his clippers to offer haircuts to those who do not want to come into the barber shop.
His services have already been used by some in the town, when he went out for the first time at the weekend.
