A talented young dancer was a part of the opening performance for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Claires Court Senior Girls pupil Madison Ingoldsby danced alongside the professional dancers with her partner Korey Andrews in the opening of the show on Saturday.
The year seven pupil is currently the number one UK Latin and Ballroom Juvenile Dancer.
Madison, who has been dancing since she was four, said about her TV experience: “It was so much fun. Although
our bit was pre-recorded, the rest was live which we could watch. It was really surprising because the stage looks so big on TV, but when you’re there it seems much smaller.
“We got our hair and make-up done and met all the professional dancers and judges which was so exciting. Some of my favourite dancers I got to meet were Oti, AJ and Chloe who were really lovely.”
