Oldfield School
A church has had to find a new home while building work is carried out.
The congregation of St Mary’s Church, off Maidenhead High Street, has been meeting at Oldfield School, in Bray Road, since Sunday, September 4.
The move is in response to work started on Tuesday to upgrade the heating system, disabled access and seating.
The project, which is expected to be completed by next summer, will also add a new entrance foyer.
During the scheme, four main Sunday services at 9.15am, 11am, 4pm and 6.30pm will meet in the school hall, while children’s groups use classrooms.
