A project manager will be taking on the mammoth challenge of travelling from Land's End to John O'Groats by push scooter — and climbing the three national peaks in between.
Chris Baister, is hoping to raise £10,000 for Children in Need during his odyssey.
The 37-year-old wanted to do something unique, which is why he is also climbing the three peaks.
He said: "I saw that someone else had ready gone across England on a push scooter, so I thought I would climb the peaks as well.
"I've been training by going to the gym and doing some miles on the scooter. I'm hoping to do 50 miles a day, and I'm taking three weeks off work for the challenge."
Chris will be making appearances at Twyford Parish Council annual family picnic on Saturday and at Maidenhead's Night Market the following week with his scooter to spread the word of his challenge.
