The Nicholsons Shopping Centre is set to get a refurbished entrance after the Royal Borough granted planning permission last week.
The refurbishment is part of Vixcroft’s ongoing work aimed at improving links between the High Street and the shopping centre.
Vixcroft, a property investment firm, took over the Nicholsons Centre in March 2015.
Chief executive Daniel Carter said: “Vixcroft is working with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to resolve and deliver a new quality mall, linking the Nicholsons central space to the multi-storey car park, which in turn will be redeveloped to give Maidenhead a larger and improved car park.
“By connecting these vital elements, we will create a cohesive town centre.
“The new entrance will be a dramatic improvement, but more importantly, it is only an element of our plans to enhance the High Street and improve integration between the High Street, the Nicholsons Centre, the planned Landings development, and the rail and Crossrail stations, which will enhance the overall attraction of Maidenhead town centre as a place to shop, live and work.”
