A community group that offers family support services has been celebrating after a donation meant it would be able to run a trip for its families.
Re:charge R&R, which was launched two years ago to replace the Re:charge cafe in King Street, which closed in April 2013 after 10 years, was given a joint gift of £2,000 from Maidenhead Round Table and the Rotary Club of Maidenhead on Tuesday, July 19.
The cash will be used to take families who use the group to a farm park in September, following the success of a seaside trip last year.
Family and child support manager Hannah Bronnimann-Lucas said: “As well as the donation, we’ve also been invited to go along to one of their meetings and talk about what we do.
“All round I think it’s a very exciting situation for us and it’s been lovely that, without too much about us, they have given us this money so those families can have a lovely day out.”
