Art with an African theme went on show at St Edmund Campion Catholic Primary School on Monday.
All year groups at the Altwood Road school created their own artwork inspired by artist Jacob Lawrence, with the theme of Africa.
The term of work also connected to the school’s end-of-year performance of African Jigsaw.
The younger years focused on what was in the picture and the colours used, while the older years were able to explore meanings of the paintings and topics in Africa they could put into art.
Art co-ordinator Lauran Lazenby said: “They have been working all term on the art, the children like seeing it all on show.
“There are a range of mediums used, as well as 3D and 2D works.
“It’s nice for the children to be able to have the parents in to see the artwork.”
