Maidenhead United announced the signing of Alfie Pendlebury this afternoon (Monday), subject to the usual league ratifications.
The Magpies have been bolstering their squad for the run in and Pendlebury joins Cameron Eubank and Dillon De Silva, who have joined the club on loan in recent weeks.
Pendlebury most recently played at Hanwell Town, while the 22-year-old striker has also played for Holyport and Cheshunt United in recent seasons.
Interim boss Ryan Peters clearly believes he’s capable of stepping up and performing at step 2 and will want more competition for places in forward areas for the final weeks of the season.
Saturday’s hard-earned 1-1 draw at leaders Torquay United has left the Magpies eighth in the table, six points off the play-off spots with a game in hand over seventh placed Hemel Hempstead Town.
United signed Eubank from Birmingham City and De Silva from Sutton United ahead of their 1-0 win at Tonbridge Angels last week.
