Maidenhead United reveal new kits and revert to red socks for home matches

Maidenhead United revealed their home and away strips for the new season at a social event for supporters in Stripes Bar on Tuesday evening.

The new Uhlsport kit designs, which have generally gone down well with supporters on social media, will see the Magpies revert to a bolder black-and-white-striped home kit and traditional red-and-black away jersey.

They’ll also play in red socks again at York Road for the first time in several seasons.

The new kits were launched at the latest Tuesday social event where season tickets and memberships for the 2022/23 season were also available.

The various season ticket options for the new season have been available on the club’s website since last Thursday.

The Magpies have also now confirmed most of their pre-season friendly matches, with the new National League campaign to kick off on Saturday, August 6.

The final day of the season is set for Saturday, April 29, with the play-off final to be staged on Saturday, May 13 (Stadium TBC).

The fixtures are set to be released next Wednesday (July 6).

United will start with a warm-up game against Combined Counties league neighbours Holyport, who celebrate their 125th anniversary this season, at Summerleaze Park on Saturday, July 9 (11.30am kick-off). They've also fixed up a match at Binfield on the same day, 2.30pm kick-off.

They’ll then play a Reading XI in a behind closed doors game on Tuesday, July 12, before welcoming the young talent of Brentford's B side to York Road on Saturday, July 16, 3.30pm kick-off.

At 12pm on the same day they’ll take a team to Uxbridge, while on Tuesday, July 20 they’ll visit Potters Bar Town, 7.45pm kick-off.

They'll then continue their preparations at National League South side Hungerford on Saturday, July 22 (3pm kick-off) before visiting Farnborough on Saturday, July 30 (3pm kick-off).
