Kelly very nearly cleans up at Maidenhead United's end of season awards

Magpies boss Alan Devonshire was satisfied enough with his team's display in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Notts County, and then handed out the trophies along with chairman Peter Griffin at the club's end of season awards.

It was a bit of a one-man show, with top goal scorer Josh Kelly winning the golden boot, manager's player, and player's player, however, it wasn't quite a clean sweep as he finished runner up to goalkeeper Dan Gyollai in the supporter's player of the season award. Kelly (below with Alan Devonshire) has had a magnificent season leading the line for the Magpies, scoring 17 goals in all competitions, while Gyollai helped galvanise United at a low ebb in the campaign and was a gargantuan presence between the sticks as the side hauled themselves clear of relegation danger in the new year. It's always a team effort with Maidenhead United but between them Kelly and Gyollai played a massive part in redefining the season.

For the second season in a row, goal of the season went to Sam Barratt for his sensational volley in the 1-1 draw at Torquay United on April 30.

In scenes reminiscent to Gazza's goal against Scotland at Euro 96, Barratt flicked the ball over the Gulls' defender before smashing it home on the volley.
