Marlow’s Curtis Chapple takes on Maidenhead United’s Max Kilman in the last competitive meeting between the two sides in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup
Maidenhead United have confirmed the date for their Berks & Bucks Senior Cup clash with Marlow at York Road.
Marlow will visit York Road for the first time in a competitive clash since 1998 on Tuesday, January 28, 7.45pm kick-off.
The sides met in the competition at Oak Tree Road in November 2016, when Josh Kelly came off the bench to win the match for the Magpies.
Wolves defender Max Kilman also played for the Magpies in the clash, having been playing on loan at Marlow at the time.
The Blues are still smarting from being kicked off of last season’s final due to fielding ineligible players in their semi-final against Slough Town.
The Rebels went on to lift the trophy after beating Reading FC 3-1 at Bracknell Town’s Larges Lane ground.
Marlow have won the competition 13 times and will be keen to cause an upset against a team that’s historically been one of their closest rivals.
Danny Whitehall scored a hat-trick and Joe Ellul was also on target as United booked their place in the second round with a 4-0 win over Binfield in the last round.
The Magpies last lifted the trophy two seasons ago, when Christian Smith scored the only goal of the final against Hungerford Town at Arbour Park.
Reading, Wycombe Wanderers, MK Dons, as well as the current cup holders Slough Town, enter the competition at the quarter final stage.
Reduced admission prices are in operation for the tie against the Blues, with adults at £10, concessions (over 65/students) £5 and u16s £2.
