Maidenhead United has announced a partnership with Marlow-based sports centre Bisham Abbey ahead of the Magpies 2019/20 pre-season campaign.
Bisham Abbey is one of Sport England’s National Sports Centres and is called home by some of the country’s elite athletes and community groups, and throughout the oncoming National League season the Magpies will use it as their training base.
It will see the Magpies train three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Manager Alan Devonshire labelled it as an ‘iconic facility’ while first team captain Alan Massey said the facilities are ‘ some of the best around’.
Chairman Peter Griffin added: “It’s been a real plus to us in trying to sign players .
“It’s quite positive to have that on our doorstep.
“Bisham Abbey have been really good and really receptive to the fact they wanted to support us, a local team, and I think that was a really important part of it.
“It’s such a good selling point.”
