Maidenhead United striker Josh Kelly gets first call up to Northern Ireland U21s.

Maidenhead United striker Josh Kelly has been called up to the Northern Ireland U21s squad ahead of their friendlies against Mexico and Bulgaria later this month.

Under-21s manager Ian Baraclough has called up the Magpies striker to take part in a week long training camp on the Costa Del Sol, as part of early preparations for 2021 U21 Euros Qualifiers which get underway in September.

Kelly has scored six times in the National League for Maidenhead this season including a sensational solo goal against Eastleigh that saw him round the goalkeeper before cleverly avoiding a defender on his way to smashing the ball into the net. The 20-year-old has been an important part of Alan Devonshire’s side, making 31 appearances in the league this season.

The Marbella Football centre will play host to the first friendly against Bulgaria on March 22 at 1pm before the U21s face Mexico on Monday March 25 at the Estadio Municipal de Marbella with a 7pm kick off.
