Nana Owusu scored in the win over Holmer Green
Maidenhead United booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup with a 2-0 success at Holmer Green, and blooded some youth players at the same time.
Full debuts were handed to three u18s players, Bradley Farren, Kameron Gardner and Bradley Keetch, with the latter scoring the Magpies’ all important opener in the 18th minute. James Dirkin, James Henry and Lewis Boniface also came off the bench to make first team appearances.
Keetch gave the visitors the lead with a deflected shot that looped in. Riley capitalised on some slack marking to run through on Hamann’s goal but the post came to United’s rescue.
Owusu wrapped up the win in the second half with a shot that squirmed under Brown.
