Mid-week matches for Maidenhead United and Slough Town are postponed

Maidenhead United’s visit to Boreham Wood this evening (Tuesday) has been postponed following a morning pitch inspection.

The club’s Meadow Park ground was blanketed with snow yesterday (Monday), and with temperatures once again expected to dip away into the minus numbers this evening, the decision has been taken to call off the game and re-schedule.

A new date will be announced in due course.

Weather permitting Maidenhead’s next game is home to Woking on Saturday.

It was a similar story for Slough Town, whose game at Royston Town this evening has also fallen foul of the weather. A pitch inspection confirmed the Southern League Premier Division game was off at 10am this morning. A new date will be announced.

Slough, who already have a major fixture backlog, visit Weymouth on Saturday before travelling to Basingstoke Town on Tuesday.
