Slough Town held their end of season awards at Arbour Park on Saturday evening after rounding off the season with a 1-0 win over Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Midfielder Henry Ochieng - who is set to take on the captain’s armband from the departing Josh Jackman - and top scorer Slavi Spasov were among those who picked up awards.

Ochieng was recognised for his outstanding - and consistent - performances for the Rebels this season, picking up three major awards: the players’ player of the season, the manager’s player of the season and the supporters’ trust player of the season.

Ochieng was a key figure for the Rebels this season in the heart of their midfield and badly missed when he wasn’t available. His consistency and ability to lead others have seen him appointed captain for the 2025/26 season.

In his second season with the club, Spasov capped off another prolific season in front of goal by winning the club’s golden boot.

He scored 18 times in all competitions this season and he also claimed the young player of the season award, highlighting his hard work to continue improving under manager Scott Davies.

Davies won the club’s goal of the season award for his stunning strike from long-range against Chesham United on Boxing Day. The goal was a real festive cracker and lit up a fixture which finished 1-1.

Saturday was also an emotional day for club captain Jackman, who led the team out for one last time at Arbour Park and was then presented with the Kevin McGoldrick Award in recognition of his outstanding service. After nine seasons with Slough Town and 311 appearances, Jackman will be leaving the club this summer. His leadership, commitment, and contributions both on and off the pitch have made him a true club legend.

Additionally, the Supporters’ Trust Recognition Award was presented to Scott McNeish, while Warren Carter received the Chris Sliski Award for his dedication and service as Club Person of the Year.

Full list of awards and winners:

• Slough Town Supporters’ Trust Player of the Season 2024/25 – Henry Ochieng

• Slough Town Football Club Golden Boot 2024/25 – Slavi Spasov (18 goals)

• Slough Town Football Club Players’ Player of the Season 2024/25 – Henry Ochieng

• Slough Town Football Club Manager’s Player of the Season 2024/25 – Henry Ochieng

• Slough Town Football Club Manager’s Young Player of the Season 2024/25 – Slavi Spasov

• Chris Sliski Award – Warren Carter

• Supporters’ Trust Recognition Award – Scott McNeish

• Goal of the Season 2024/25 – Scott Davies v Chesham United, 26 December 2024

There was little riding on the result of Saturday’s final day clash between the Rebels and the Beavers with both clubs safe from relegation despite having fallen out of form over the second half of the campaign.

Hampton in particular had fallen on meagre times in the final weeks of the season and Slavi Spasov’s second half penalty - following a foul on David Ogbonna - condemned them to their 14th defeat in 16 league matches.

In contrast, the Rebels finished the season strongly with back-to-back victories and therefore were in the mood to celebrate after the final whistle.
