Nominations are in for the 2020 Berkshire Football Awards

The nominations are in for the 2020 PlaySport sponsored Berkshire Football Awards.

The Football in Berkshire website have listed the full number of nominees from which a judging panel will now select winners.

Holyport striker Fabian Driffill has been nominated in the player of the year (male) category alongside Ascot United’s Harry Laflin.

Driffill said on Twitter: "Happy to be in the list for the player of the season award. Thank you all I will keep pushing myself as always."

Josh Kelly’s spectacular overhead kick against AFC Fylde this season is nominated for goal of the season, while Sarah Thompson and Alex Dover are both nominated for player of the year following their efforts for Maidenhead United Ladies this season.

Ascot United boss Jamie Tompkins, whose side were 11 points clear at the top of the Combined Counties Premier League when the season was curtailed, has been nominated for the manager of the year award.

The shortlist includes both off and on the pitch awards, with supporters, volunteers, photographers and reporters also having their names put forward for different categories.

Maidenhead United club photographer Darren Woolley is nominated in two categories, best photo and club volunteer.

They’re hoping to start announcing winners from this week onwards.
