Four venues across the area feature in SquareMeal's Top 100 list

Four venues across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire are among the ‘best’ the UK has to offer after appearing in the UK’s leading independent restaurant guide.

SquareMeal’s UK Top 100 list is the only of its kind to exclude London’s restaurants and the latest edition features Maidenhead-based Seasonality, The Oarsman and Sindhu by Atul Kochhar in Marlow and Woven by Adam Smith at Coworth Park in Ascot.

The list showcases top venues using a combination of SquareMeal’s own expert critics and thousands of reader votes.

Woven by Adam Smith have taken the fifth spot on the list announced this month.

Adam Smith, executive chef of Coworth Park, including Woven by Adam Smith, said: “We’re so proud to have achieved number five in the SquareMeal Top 100 UK restaurants.

“It is testament to all of the teams hard work and their dedication to creating a truly special experience for our guests.”

Queen-Street based restaurant Seasonality have made it onto the list for the second consecutive year and has taken the 40th spot.

Chef owner Wesley Smalley, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have made it onto SquareMeal’s Top 100 UK restaurants for the second consecutive year.

“It’s a truly humbling feeling to be amongst so many restaurants that we highly admire across the country, and we are immensely thankful to our guests who have visited us and voted for us.

“We also appreciate such a reputable food guide such as SquareMeal for giving us the recognition.”

The Oarsman, based in Marlow’s Spittal Street, also features on the list in 93rd position.

Head chef Scott Smith, said: “We work immensely hard to create a loving environment for the staff and a special place for our guests to visit, which we thank them on every occasion.

“We are really fortunate to have amazing suppliers and privileged to be able to have such special ingredients to work with.

“But to be recognised by our peers and guides, when there are so many brilliant establishments is truly humbling and in these challenging times it’s something that we can celebrate as team, it’s wonderful.”

Chef Atul Kochhar said the team at Sindhu by Atul Kochhar in Marlow Bridge Lane are ‘absolutely thrilled’ to appear on the list and have taken the 96th spot.

He said: “We are absolutely thrilled Sindhu was included in the SquareMeal Top 100 restaurants list.

“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion of our incredible team who consistently strive to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

“Being included among the best in the industry is not only an honour, but also a reminder of the hard work, creativity, and commitment to excellence that defines Sindhu.

“We are grateful for the support of our guests and look forward to continuing to exceed expectations."
