A new Pret A Manger looks set to open at the One Maidenhead development after an application was recently submitted to the Royal Borough.

The popular coffee and sandwich shop chain is looking to branch out into the new town centre development to provide shoppers with their signature products.

The application, by Hala Star Foods, seeks approval for works to be carried out in an internal plant room to serve the new store at 7 Garden Boulevard.

The news comes shortly after it was announced that Southern Co-op is planning to open one of its 'Welcome' convenience stores within a unit at the major development.

The supermarket chain submitted a licensing application to sell alcohol to the Royal Borough last month.

The regenerated area officially launched in June and includes 429 flats alongside ground floor retail units.

Peri-Peri restaurant Nando’s previously confirmed that it will be opening an eatery at the One Maidenhead development next year.

The documents state that all services and equipment routes will be housed in the plant room and therefore there will be ‘no wider impacts as a result of the installation of the equipment’.

The application can be viewed on the council’s portal under the reference: 24/02984/CONDIT
