Flackwell Heath manager Marcus Richardson believes his side have ‘the experience’ they need to be competitive in the Hellenic Premier this season.
The Heathens boss admitted his side struggled at times last season, but, with a year under their belts and a few new faces coming in during pre-season, the boss is hoping his side will be a more rounded outfit this season.
“We’ve got the experience we lacked last season now,” said Richardson.
“Last season we lost our heads a bit in matches – not about our discipline - but rather our concentration dropped and that made it difficult for us to the stay in the game.
“We also missed a lot of chances last season but hopefully we have that threat now.
“They’ve got a year under their belts, they will know how to cope with the game now and hopefully we push on from last season.”
A healthy pre-season and a few new signings have kept the Heathens fresh in the run up to the new season, where they will kick off their Hellenic Premier campaign against Lydney Town on Saturday, August 3.
