With just one set of matches remaining this season, many of the promotion and relegation battles in the Chilterns League have already been settled.

In Division 1, Holyport have been promoted as champions after Saturday’s 98-run win over Denham 2nds.

Having been put into bat, the hosts made 328 before being dismissed in the 43rd over. The highlight was an impressive knock of 73 from Razwan Hanif, while Saif Ullah Khalid (59) and Obaid Wajid (54) helped the hosts to a more than defendable total. In reply Denham were restricted to 230-8 in 45 overs, with Hanif once again the standout bowler, taking 3-21. Ansuman Swain smashed 91 in a losing cause for Denham. The result moves Holyport 83 points clear of closest challengers Little Marlow who are battling it out for the runners-up spot alongside Ruislip Victoria and Knotty Green 2nds.

Little Marlow's two-wicket win over Knotty on Saturday moved them 11 points clear of third placed Ruislip.

In the Premiership, there is a three-way battle to become champions between leaders Cadmore End, second placed Emmbrook and Bearwood and Pinkneys Green in third.

Green are 24 points adrift of Cadmore heading into their final game at Monks Risborough on Saturday, and would need other results to go their way, but they kept themselves in the hunt with Saturday's 154-run win over The Lee. Having been put into bat, they put on 260-7 in 45 overs, with Ben Purchese top scoring with 59 not out. In response The Lee were dismissed with 106 with Teginder Kaleka taking 5-16.

In the same division Littlewick Green had an afternoon to forget with the bat as they were beaten by six wickets by Emmbrook and Bearwood. Green were bowled out for just 122, with the best of their efforts coming from Barnaby Hogg (57). Andy Lazenbury and Toby Morgan both took three wickets for Emmbrook, who then chased down their target fairly comfortably, with Matt Booth supplying 45 of their runs.

Ley Hill have been crowned winners in the Chilterns League Championship and will be promoted to the Thames Valley Cricket League subject to their ground meeting the require standards. Sixth placed Braywood were beaten by 54 runs by second placed Holmer Green on Saturday.
