Cookham-based cricketer Toby Greatwood made his debut for Middlesex against the Kent Spitfires in the London Cup on Friday.
The 19-year-old was born in Marlow and went to Bisham Primary School before attending Claires Court School in Maidenhead and Reading Blue Coat School in Sonning.
He played for Maidenhead & Bray in his youth before becoming a regular for Wargrave CC and county side Berkshire CCC.
The Oxford Brooks University student was awarded a contract by Middlesex in July as cover for players selected to play in The Hundred series this summer.
He took his opportunity in the match at Radlett Cricket Club with both hands, taking 2-30 from an economical six over spell which included one maiden.
Greatwood was also unbeaten with the bat, finishing on 7no, but Kent Spitfires won the match by 21 runs.
Having posted 217-9 from their 35 overs, they bowled out Middlesex for 196 in 32.3 overs.
