Maidenhead & Bray slipped into the relegation places on Saturday night after a crushing nine-wicket defeat to Tring Park 2nds in TVL Division 2A.
Having won the toss and opted to bat, Bray were rocked by the early dismissals of George Parsons for three and Ben Howard for nought. Kieran Grey dug in for 31 off 27 balls while Joe Barker played patiently for his 18.
But from 89-4 the visitors collapsed spectacularly to hand Tring Park the relatively easy task of chasing down 122. Bray were bowled out for 121 in the 31st over with Paul Orton playing his part in their destruction –taking 6-47.
Park chased Bray down for the loss of one wicket. Andrew Dixon’s lbw to Toddy Lindley (1-24) for 62 was the only blot on their batting copybook. Matthew Bowyer (49no) and Alastair Partner (2no) successfully negotiated the Bray bowling to get them home in the 18th over. Bray, who collected two points, are back in action at home to Chesham 2nds on Saturday.
