Christie Green leathered an unbeaten double century as Littlewick Green cruised to a 256 run victory over Little Gaddesden in Chilterns League Premier 1 on Saturday.

On a good day for batting Green (216no) gave Gaddesden’s bowlers and fielders the runaround as he started and finished an innings that finished on 370-4.

There was able support from the likes of Kirk Graham (35), Tom Maskell (33) and Matthew Donovan (51), with only Steve Jones (2-94) getting any joy with the ball for the visitors.

Little Gaddesden’s reply was punctuated with wickets as they were bowled out for a measly 114 in the 37th over.

Miles Buesst top scored for them with 42, while Green shared the wickets around with Will Brockwell (2-20) and Waleed Nawaz (2-23) the pick of their attack.

The stunning victory sets Littlewick Green up nicely for Saturday’s tricky test at in-form Downley.
