A planning application to demolish the former residential home Brill House in Mercia Road has been submitted to the Royal Borough.
In its place, applicant Housing Solutions proposes to build a mix of shared ownership and affordable homes, and houses with supported living facilities for adults with learning difficulties.
Five affordable homes, two for a shared ownership scheme, five one-bed flats and one six-bed house with supported living facilities are proposed.
“It is the intention ... to provide a range of well-designed, secure, sustainable and accessible housing accommodation in keeping with development in the area,” the application states.
A decision is due by November 2.
