Maidenhead MP Josh Reynolds has been revealed as one of the 30 most inspiring people under 30 – alongside Molly Mae Hague and F1 driver Lando Norris.
The annual Sunday Times Young Power List was revealed this month and features a mixture of entrepreneurs, politicians, and individuals from the world of entertainment and sport.
The list, which recognises and celebrates talent, hard work and tenacity, also includes the likes of footballer Cole Palmer, farmer and TV personality Kaleb Cooper, cricketer Harry Brook, Labour MP for Kettering Rosie Wrighting, actress Bella Maclean and bakery owner Darcie Maher.
Mr Reynolds was elected as Maidenhead’s new Liberal Democrat MP in July last year.
The 26-year-old, who grew up in Maidenhead, is the youngest Liberal Democrat MP in the Commons and says it is an ‘honour’ to have been recognised on the list.
He said: “It’s wonderful, it’s an honour that I represent the area that I grew up in.
“I said to the Times, I’ll be quite glad when I’m no longer in my 20s so I’m not on the list, because hopefully there’ll be a load more MPs that are younger than I was when I entered the Commons, and that [will be] nice to see.”
Mr Reynolds said it was nice to make the list with fellow member of the Business and Trade Committee, Rosie Wrighting MP.
“I get on with her really well, so it’s nice to see us both on it.”
He added: “This is not a job you go into to be recognised for the stuff you do, so it is very nice to be recognised.”
