Summer fun days have been organised by Cookham Parish Council for children of the village to enjoy over the summer holidays.
Wednesday was the first day of Fun in the Sun, in which inflatable games, sports, and arts and crafts took over the Alfred Major Recreation Ground.
A second day of activities will be held on Wednesday, August 17, also at the recreation ground, from 11am to 3pm, which is free for everyone to join in.
Cllr Andrew Nye, chairman of the footpaths and open spaces committee, said: “We’re delighted that Fun in the Sun is coming to Cookham again and that the parish council is helping to fund activities for young people in the area. Whether you’re a budding Stanley Spencer or Olympian, there will be something for everyone, so hopefully we’ll see a lot of residents attending on Wednesday.”
There is an area of smaller inflatable games for children under the age of eight.
