Two masonic lodges in Windsor and Eton have strengthened their collaboration to support the Windsor Street Angels.
As part of their ongoing commitment to support local good causes, representatives from the Windsor Castle Masonic Lodge and the Etonian Lodge of St John visited the Baptist Chapel on Victoria Street on Monday, November 17.
They met with PSCO David Bullock and members of the Windsor Street Angels team to donate a total of £1,000.
During the visit, John Young, member of the Windsor Castle Masonic Lodge, and Paul Clark, member of the Etonian Lodge of St John, gained an insight into the work the Street Angels do to support homeless and vulnerable people in Windsor.
Paul Clark said: "The work carried out by the Street Angels is nothing short of inspiring.”
John Young added: "These volunteers are on the front line of community care, and we are proud to stand beside them in their mission to support those who need it most."
PSCO David Bullock, Windsor Street Angels coordinator, said: "We’re incredibly grateful for the support shown by both Lodges.
“Their kind donations will go a long way toward helping Street Angels continue the amazing work they do every weekend in Windsor, keeping people safe and caring for the vulnerable.
“Since starting in 2012, Windsor Street Angels has helped over 100,000 people, and it is because of the support and community spirit shown by our fantastic volunteers and by those who donate, such as this, that we can grow as a project and assist even more people.
“If anyone would like to join Street Angels or find out more about our work, please get in touch with me at: david.bullock@thamesvalley.police.uk”
Ryan Lytollis, a member of Windsor Castle Masonic Lodge and the owner of The Queen Charlotte in Church Lane, has also offered complimentary coffee to any Street Angel while they are on duty in the area.
Ryan said: "It’s a small way of saying thank you for the big difference they make.
"Their presence keeps people safe, and I’m pleased to offer whatever support I can."
Both Masonic Lodges ‘look forward’ to carrying on their partnership with the Street Angels and other local charities.
