Fly-tipper who dumped freezers at Burnham Beeches is fined

Hefty fines have been given to a fly-tipper and his company after commercial freezers were dumped in Burnham Beeches.

Alexandru Laurentiu Mitrea, 25, of Buckingham Road, Edgware, pleaded guilty to depositing waste illegally in Park Lane when he appeared before Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 18.

The court heard how an investigator from the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire found several dumped commercial freezers in Park Lane in August 19, 2015,

Details found within the freezers led investigators to A&A Pizza Company Ltd in Hackney.

Mitrea admitted to police in an interview that he removed and dumped the freezers.

The magistrates fined Mitrea £1,200 and ordered him to pay costs of £1,343.

A&A Pizza Company Ltd was fined £4,000 for the duty of care failure and was ordered to pay £1,320 costs.
