An air ambulance was called after a young boy was hit by a car in Burnham yesterday (Tuesday) evening .
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) was called to the High Street at about 7pm.
The boy, who is thought to be about six years old, was conscious and breathing but had sustained a head injury.
SCAS sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance, an officer and the air ambulance to the scene.
The boy was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, by road.
