Children in year three at Holyport Primary School in Stroud Farm Road had an action-packed day of Victorian-themed events.
Each pupil came to school dressed as a Victorian and they were given Victorian names.
Joshua White, who is seven years old, said: “I have really enjoyed today, because we got to dress up.”
Hannah Cunningham, year three teacher said: “The day was a great success and I feel the children got a lot out of it.”
Lorraine White said: “The children were so excited today and we look forward to more events like this.”
Other activities included practicing Victorian calligraphy, making zoetropes and thaumatropes, exploring Victorian film and photography and listening to the story of Oliver Twist.
