Holyport teenager wins trip to Fantastic Beasts premiere

A 16-year-old student has won a trip to New York to attend the premiere of the new JK Rowling film.

Jake Humphries, from Moor End in Holyport, won the Magic FM competition last Friday and jetted off to America on Tuesday with his brother Adam to attend the premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The Desborough College student won the competition after writing why he would like to be a wizard and about his favourite author JK Rowling.

He said: “I couldn’t believe it when they told me I had won.

“On the trip they are showing us around all the places where they filmed it.

“It would be great to meet JK Rowling on the red carpet.”

Jake, who is a Cox Green Explorer, chose his 20-year-old brother Adam, who is a Bray and Holyport scout leader, to join him on the trip.

The brothers will return today (Friday).
