A brave five-year-old will have her hair cut for charity during a school assembly tomorrow (Friday).
Alyssia Clarke, who is in year one of Braywick Court School, will be donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust and hopes to raise more than £500 for the charity.
She said: “I wanted to do it after I saw a video on mummy’s phone.
“Mummy said I could do it and I think children would like my wig.”
So far £235 has been raised towards the cause.
Alyssia’s mum Victoria said: “She kept asking me to do it and I wasn’t sure but after six weeks I eventually said she could.
“She has long curly hair so I took her to the hairdresser’s so she knew what it would look like short.
“I’m really excited for her – she wants to raise over £500.
“She makes me so proud.”
Alyssia’s hair will be shaved in assembly at school and her fellow pupils will also be sporting crazy hair styles and wigs to raise money for charity.
