Young racer Harry King took his first victory on Saturday and is now in the top 10 of the Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship.
The 15-year-old driver from Holyport took part in his sixth race of the season at Snetterton, Norfolk.
The race began with a rocky start, with Harry having to switch to a spare car at the 11th hour.
Although he finished the race in second place, a post-race penalty was given to winner Dan Harper, which meant Harry was promoted to first place.
Harry said: “Discovering that I’d been given the win afterwards was an unexpected bonus, and while it isn’t the way I want to take a victory, I’m certainly not going to turn it down.
“The points this weekend have been brilliant and are by far my best haul this season, so we’ve moved up the standings and it’s given me a fantastic boost in confidence for the rest of the season.”
