Marjorie Walklett in action for Sunningdale
Sunningdale will have a 50 shot deficit to make up when they travel to Wokingham for the second leg of their Manley Cup match.
They lost heavily in the first leg, save for a winning rink from David Evans, Brian Munden and Don Allston (skip).
The club's fortunes did not greatly improve when Great Hollands visited them in the week and condemned them to defeat.
Sole winning rink was played by Alf Chell, Pat Isted and John Forster (skip).
The ladies produced a better result away to Staines (31-26). The best of thei rinks was played by Margaret Ward, Jill Calaghan and Kathy Edwards (skip).
In the Thames Valley League Sunningdale were awarded all 10 points from their home match against Palmer Park, despite the game being halted after 10 ends due to extreme heat with Sunningdale leading 37-20.
Margaret Ward, Pat Istead and Margaret Nutley (skip) took top rink honours.
Pam Kiddell, Kathey Edwards and skip Marjorie Walklett made it through in the county triples after convincingly beating Maidenhead Town.
However, Sunningdale crashed to a heavy defeat against Windsor & Eton in the Kennet League, with Windsor collecting all 14 points on offer.
Iver Heath's Simon May, Andy Withers and Allan Davies have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Bucks County Triples after their victory over John McGuinnes, Richard Reid and David Ross.
In the Bucks League there were wins for three of the four Iver Heath sides.
The Immortals defeated Richings Park and the Cannivores crushed Slough. There was also a win for the Heathens over Richings Rangers but the Saints were beaten by Gerrards Cross.
Iver Heath's women are out of the Burnham Plate after losing to Richings Park but the men's team progressed to the quarter finals of the Southern Counties Shield after a victory over Maidenhead Town.
There was a defeat for the men's TVL side against Cippenham but better news for their Ad-Finem side against Cowley.
Calvert Farrer is through in the Bucks County singles after getting the better of Kirk Smith of Gerrards Cross.
Buckinghamshire hosted the Isle of Wight in the Middleton Cup at Iver Heath's green on Saturday and were victorious.
The same couldn't be said of the club side who were disappointingly beaten 77-59. Sheila Grant, Chris Hill and Ron Schofield provided their only winning rink.
However, there was a convincing 56-18 win for the club in Sunday's double four match against Cippenham and Bill Lidgate's captain's day event raised £430 for the Sparkles charity.
Iver Heath finished up on the winning side at home to Egham on Tuesday last week.
