Entries to a competition asking participants to create artwork based on Norden Farm’s Christmas show Pinocchio are being put on display.
The Pinocchio Chill Out Space gallery is open for free to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday until December 28.
As part of the competition, run by the Altwood Road arts venue, youngsters were asked to draw a festive or cosy winter outfit for Pinocchio or draw a cover of their favourite book, inspired by the Book of Books which features in the original version of Pinocchio, which the show is based on.
The competition was split into two age categories – 3 to 5 years and 6 to 8 years.
The winner in the ages 3 to 5 category was Leaf Wolf, five, who created an outfit for Pinocchio with a smart hat and festive jumper, featuring a big Christmas tree.
In the 6 to 8 age category, Anthony Scafuto, eight, took the top prize with his drawing of Pinocchio in a festive green outfit, with sparkles on his top and on the end of his nose.
Anthony was the overall winner and as part of his prize, he got the opportunity to turn on the Maidenhead Christmas lights.
Both winners received a goody bag with art supplies and tickets to a show at Norden Farm.
The Chill Out space in the gallery provides a place to relax and play during the festive season.
The education department at Norden Farm has worked with artist Amelia Pimlott.
They collaborated with The Autism Group, Achieving for Children, Care for Calais and schools including Wessex Primary School, Furze Platt, and Cookham Dean Primary School.
They created gallery space bringing the story of Pinocchio to life with animations and shadow puppets.
