A woman has been sentenced to a one-year community order for the assault of five children in Marlow.
Amelia Simkiss, 24, of Totteridge Road in High Wycombe was sentenced to a one-year community order at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 22.
Simkiss pleaded guilty to one count of wilful assault at the same court on April 18.
Between October 6 and November 8 2023, Simkiss assaulted five children while they were in her care.
She was charged on March 23.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Kirsty Pendle, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “Amelia Simkiss was rightfully charged after a number of incidents in October and November last year.
“I am relieved Simkiss pleaded guilty to the offences charged of her, preventing the families of the victims having to endure reliving the incidents in front of a court. Simkiss will now have time to reflect on her actions.
“We will never accept violence against children in Thames Valley Police and will always seek to bring offenders to justice.”
