Jets sign trio of young stars

5:14pm Thu 4th Sep 08:: written by Steve Spencer

Slough Jets ice hockey club have confirmed that three rising stars of the game have committed themselves to the club.

Jamie Milton, Adam Jones and Andy Biart have all been added to the squad ahead of the new season which gets underway this month.

On the re-signing of Slough junior Milton, head coach Steve Moria said: “I really expect Jamie to improve after a year with the Jets. He has unquestionable skill and if he is fit and hungry then he will contribute in a big way to the team.

“Andy Biart is 18 years old and is a very promising British keeper who impressed me in the summer trials that we held at Slough. I expect steady improvement backing up Dean Skinns in goal.”

He added: “I fully expect 18-year-old Adam Jones to contribute immediately. He is a stay-at-home type defenceman and reminds me of a younger Kevin Phillips.”
