National Cup champions Reading Rockets have signed a feeder programme agreement with Cookham Comets Basketball Club.

The deal means Comets will introduce players with potential to the Rockets and vice-versa.

Andrew Horne, Comets manager, said: "This agreement is the way forward for developing future basketball stars. Rockets have the best pedigree in the region and the fact that players are getting scholarships in the US demonstrates the commitment of their staff.

"By having a feeder programme in place, Comets can provide a career path for aspiring  athletes who can potentially progress to national and international status."
