Coaching corner with Reading FC

9:00am Sun 18th May 08:: written by Phil Williams

It has been a disappointing week for us here at Reading FC with our relegation to the Football League. But with every negative comes a positive – and we’ll be back.

The response the club has received from fans since last weekend has been brilliant, and we’re all very grateful for the messages of support that have been flooding in.

As for the local schools, our visits are in full flow and this week we will spend time at many different schools across the Maidenhead and Windsor area.

On Friday we visited Furze Platt junior school in Maidenhead for an educational fun morning with the year fours.

The morning was fun based and as always we tried to use football as a vehicle to promote the importance of healthy eating and literacy in everyday life.

If your school is interested in getting involved with our Community Trust and receiving visits like Furze Platt’s, feel free to contact us at community@readingfc.co.uk or on 0118 968 1415.

Don’t forget with the May half term rapidly approaching, look out for the leaflets and posters in your schools for further details about our soccer schools being run in a location near you.
