Magpies announce new signing

9:45am Tue 13th May 08:: written by Nick Meakin

Maidenhead manager Johnson Hippolyte has confirmed the signature of highly regarded left winger Dale Binns.

Binns, who has just won a Blue Square South Championship medal with Lewes, has been a regular thorn in the Magpies right side over the last few seasons.

The 26-year-old began his career at Hendon progressing through the youth and reserve teams at Claremont Road before going onto make almost 200 appearances for the first team.

He then moved to Cambridge City in the summer of 2004 where he was an integral member of the Lilywhites’ team which ended that season as Blue Square South runners up.

A short spell in the Blue Square Premier with Stevenage Borough followed before arriving at the Dripping Pan last summer to play for Lewes.

For more on Binns' arrival see Thursday's Advertiser.
