Relegation countdown: Fae set to leave the Royals

Emerse Fae has revealed that he wants a Reading transfer just days after being fined and banned from the Madejski Stadium.

Fae (pictured) and defender Ibrahima Sonko were handed the punishment after refusing to play in a Royals reserve match against Tottenham a week ago.

Ivory Coast midfielder Fae, 24, has played just 11 games since joining from French side Nantes for a club-record £2.5million last summer and looks set to be on the way out the club wether Reading avoid relegation or not.

He said: 'I am not a kid. This is just an excuse to show it hasn’t worked out for me at Reading."
