One of the stars of Windsor & Maidenhead Bears baseball squad is celebrating his selection for Great Britain in the European Junior Baseball Tournament in Sweden at the end of July.

Ford said: "I have had to work hard to recover from a shoulder injury incurred playing for the Bears about two season ago. Sports injury physiotherapy and gym work have really helped to improve my overall core fitness.

"The winter training sessions with the Southern British Baseball Academy led to last weekend's final trials at Manchester where the South beat the North."

On Sunday Bears travelled away to Hemel Hempstead to play Herts Falcons, losing both matches 12-3 and 10-0.
