Weekend results service

9:30am Mon 28th Apr 08:: written by Nick Meakin

Marlow had the result of the weekend when they beat high-flying Oxford in what was an otherwise disappointing weekend for the region's football teams.

Basingstoke 0 Maidenhead 0

Bright sunshine and a carnival atmosphere were the highlights of a turgid end of season game at Basingstoke which ended goalless.
Maidenhead had the majority of the chances with Richard Pacquette and Manny Williams both going close.

Marlow 2 Oxford City 1

Marlow completed the season in style with a heartening 2-1 victory over high-flying Oxford.
Former Marlow player Yashwa Romeo opened the scoring before Colin Simpson equalised on half-time with Adam Dickens grabbing the winner with 20 minutes remaining.

Burnham 1 Didcot 2

Despite taking the lead in the 6th minute Burnham went down 2-1 to promoted Didcot Town.
Chris Owens gave them the early lead but two goals within five minutes early in the second half saw the visitors deservedly take the points.

Wigan 0 Reading 0

Reading’s goal drought continued as the played out a tight 0-0 draw against fellow strugglers Wigan.

Notts County 1 Wycombe 0

Wycombe rested several players in preparation of their play-off run and paid the price going down to Notts County.
Scott McGleish headed against the post after just two minutes before Myles Weston netted the only goal of the game.
