Trials for Bucks Youth Games

1:50am Mon 31st Mar 08:: written by Ben Smith

Sporty youngsters in the Burnham area are already limbering up for action for this summer's Bucks Youth Games.

Basketball trials will be heldĀ this weekend at Burnham Upper School to seek out the cream of the area's slam dunking talent.

Other trials will then take place in the build up to the competition which has been described by Cllr Shorne Tilbey as 'our mini version of the Beijing Olympics'.

The games are a multi-sport event aimed at encouraging participation among both able-bodied and disabled young people.

Last year South Bucks achieved its best results since the games started in 2000.
For further information about eligibility for the games call Joe Sammon, sports development officer at South Bucks District Council on 01895 837348 or email joseph.sammon@southbucks.gov.uk
