Maids prepare for battle

4:50pm Wed 19th Mar 08:: written by Sport

With three games remaining, against three of their relegation rivals, Maidenhead RFC can’t afford another slip up. However, Andy Barron, the club’s head coach, believes his players can respond.
He said: “Considering our position the feeling among the guys is very good. “We have had some really tough training sessions and everyone has bought into the predicament we are in.”

Maids have another weekend off over Easter before facing Reading on March 29, before games with Old Patesians and Coney Hill and Barron is aware Maids will have to win those games to guarantee their safety.

He said: “Hand on heart I would like to win all three. Two out of three and the situation goes out of our hands. So we are looking at winning all three games, it’s as simple as that.”
