James Haskell thanks sponsors after England win

4:46am Mon 17th Mar 08:: written by Daniel Darlington

Rugby union star James Haskell celebrated England's thumping Six Nations victory over Ireland on Saturday with a trip to Wooburn Green to thank one of his main sponsors.

Less than 48 hours after driving England to a morale boosting 33-10 victory at Twickenham, the giant flanker returned to meet staff and customers at the Stratstone Land Rover dealership in Holtspur Lane.

Stratstone agreed a sponsorship deal with the young rugby star some months ago and have watched his rise into the England ranks with interest.

The former Maidenhead junior returned the favour on Monday, popping by to present the car showroom with one of his prized England jerseys.

He said: "Stratstone have never let me down on anything. I try to help them out in whatever way I can. Simon Keen has been very kind to me, we have built a relationship that\'s about more than just sponsorship and I see that going on for a very long time.

"Today, presenting the shirt, is just a real thank you to everyone at Stratstone, because sometimes these guys don\'t get the credit they deserve."
